How it works

  1. Create a free account and connect your bank via Stripe (5 minutes)
  2. List your item with photos, condition description and your asking price
  3. When a buyer purchases, you receive a notification and their shipping address
  4. Post the item and enter the tracking number in your Seller Dashboard
  5. Payment is released to your bank 48 hours after the buyer confirms delivery

How do I list my horse gear for sale?

Create a free account, connect your bank account via Stripe (takes about 5 minutes), then click 'List an Item' in your Seller Dashboard. Add photos, a description, your asking price and shipping details — your listing goes live immediately.

What does it cost to sell on The Tack Room?

Listing is completely free. We take a 5% commission when your item sells. Stripe's payment processing fee (~1.7% + $0.30) is deducted separately. There are no subscription fees, listing fees or monthly charges.

When do I get paid?

Payouts are processed automatically 48 hours after your buyer confirms delivery (or 48 hours after the tracking shows delivered, if no action is taken). Funds arrive in your bank account within 2–3 business days depending on your bank.

How long do I have to ship after a sale?

You have 7 days from when the order is confirmed to submit a tracking number. If tracking isn't submitted in time, the buyer will be offered a refund. We recommend using AusPost Click & Send — it's the cheapest way to send most equestrian items.

Can I offer local pickup instead of shipping?

Yes. When creating a listing you can enable local pickup, disable shipping entirely, or offer both options. Funds are released to you immediately when the buyer confirms pickup.

What can I sell on The Tack Room?

Any equestrian gear in good enough condition to rehome honestly. Saddles, bridles, rugs, boots, clothing, helmets, footwear, grooming gear, stable equipment and horse floats are all welcome. Items must be legal to sell in Australia and New Zealand and accurately described.
