Shoe Size - Cavallo boots generally run true to size.If you have a wide foot or fall between two sizes, round up to the next half size. 2. Calf Circumference (Width) Sit firmly in your chair with your feet flat on the floor.Wrap a flexible cloth tape measure around the widest part of your calf muscle.Keep the tape measure level, wrapping it snugly without pulling it tight or leaving gaps.Take multiple readings at different points to guarantee you have located the absolute widest measurement. 3. Shaft Height (heel to under knee) - Remain seated with your shins perfectly perpendicular to the floor.Measure from the floor at the back of your heel straight up the back of your leg into the crease/bend behind your knee.Crucial step: Add 1 to 2.5 cm (0.5 to 1 inch) to this height measurement. New tall boots will naturally drop and crease at the ankle during the break-in period. Adding this allowance ensures they will not end up too short once they settle.
